Boilerplate code for developing Godot games. The base backend boring stuff that many games need but is a pain to develop.

This is a work in progress. If you have like 2 min just drop a comment with what doesn't work for you and what OS and browser you are using.

Current features.

  • Extensive settings menu with video resolution audio levels key bindings and controller support.
  • Dynamic map loading. Basically you can use a dictionary to setup maps and declare their neighbors. A map needs a collision shape to detect when the player enters it and trigger the sync ( unload unneeded maps and load needed ).
  • Interactive props that the player can carry around.
  • Very simple day night cycle.
  • Limited saving and loading.
  • yada yada...
  • Some dudes to follow you around.

Still an early prototype. Very jank. But it is getting there. Managed to do some good progress the past week or so.
